This course is 3 x lessons (18:00 - 20:30pm)
Small classes of just 4 students.
Lesson 1:
How to thread the machine, sewing straight lines, clipping corners and curves, pattern cutting a square, basic hand sewing techniques. We will practice all these techniques by sewing a simple pin cushion.
Lesson 2:
Creating a pattern for a bag, adding seam allowances to a pattern, pattern cutting a pocket, cutting out fabric, sewing a patch pocket.
Lesson 3:
French seaming sides, attaching a lining, hemming and attaching straps.
Pattern cutting paper, sewing machines, tools, tea and coffee provided.
You will need to buy fabric and thread for this course.
