Open Studios - Drop in Sewing Workshop

Open Studios are for those of you wanting to work on your own project but needs help and guidance! One Saturday a month. Some sewing experience is needed for these sessions. Drop in - pay per class.

• Saturdays (once a month)

• 10am - 13:00pm - 3 hours of uninterrupted sewing.

• Intimate classes with a maximum of 4 students per course with lots of space for discussion and creativity.

• Help and advice on your projects.

• Machines, Sewing tools and Pattern cutting paper provided.

• Introduction to Sewing Machines.

• Tea, coffee and treats included :)

Sewing for Beginners

This is a great Sewing Workshop for aspiring sewists! whether you want to master basic sewing techniques or begin the journey towards making your own clothes.

We start right from scratch, familiarising you with the sewing machine itself, showing you how to wind a bobbin, thread the machine up and change the tension. 

( This course is 3 x lessons)

In this class you will cover the following techniques:

• How to thread your machine.

• Sewing straight lines, corners and curves.

• Using Seam Allowances.

• Creating a paper pattern to make a bag.

• How to press and finish seams.

• Hemming.

• Sewing a patch pocket.
